first, thanks so much for all birthday wishes and sorry for responding so late. I really have no excuses for that. Fortunately, I have very good news for you starting with my admission to the Master program in Development Economics at the Latinamerican Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO) Ecuador in Quito (www.flacso.org.ec). I passed the exam and was granted a scholarship from the University to widen my scientific knowledge and to add some income to my scholarship from the "Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes" from Germany.
My family is very well, too. We receive lots of support from my parents-in-law and enjoy our time together. I still have some weeks for vacation as classes start on October, 17th. We have used this time to find a new home for us and, finally, we will move into our new house within the next two weeks. The house is only 10 minutes away from our current home and so Antonio will have a lots of opportunities to visit his grandparents. I will show you some pictures soon.
Talking about my sweet Antonio: He is very well! Although some small aches and pains still have to be overcome he fells well and laughs (and eats!) very much. Joana is very concerned about his well-being and succeeds already in the tough baby issues.
I hope to hear from you soon,
with the best wishes from Ecuador,
Markus
